SERVICES / ADVERTISING / GOOGLE ADS / CONSULTANT

Google Ads consultant.

Google Ads consultant for companies that need expertise without a long-term retainer arrangement. Project-based, hourly, or scoped engagements. Data-driven approach against your business ROI. Nothing that requires you to switch agencies.

Our position

Consulting engagements are not less qualified than agency engagements. They are structured differently.

What you get from a Google Ads consultant at Memorise.

01

Assessment

Review of current state: campaign structure, measurement, quality scores, search terms report.

02

Plan

Concrete project plan: what will be done, in what order, and what it costs within price ceiling.

03

Implementation

We do the work. Hourly, fixed price per project, or packaged engagement.

04

Handover

Knowledge transfer where you want to take over ongoing work: documentation, walkthrough, Q&A.

When a Google Ads consultant fits better than an agency.

An agency relationship is the right setup for companies that want continuous optimisation, daily monitoring and a partner who takes full responsibility for results over time.

A consulting relationship fits better when you have existing competence in-house but need point expertise: a strategic restart, a specific campaign, an attribution validation, or knowledge transfer to your team. We take both. The difference is in structure and pricing model, not in the quality of the work.

Cap you set yourself, you own the account and the data from day one, no lock-in either way.

Google Ads consultant for companies needing project-based expertise: campaign restart, attribution review, conversion tracking setup, knowledge transfer or focused strategy. Data-driven approach based on your business ROI. Hourly, fixed price per project, or packaged engagement. Cap you set, you own the ad account. No retainer, no lock-in. Initial assessment is always free.

Google Ads consultant engagements we take on.

We take on Google Ads consulting engagements that have a clear scope. That means the engagement has a defined start, a defined end, and a measurable deliverable. Time investment varies from a few hours (audit with recommendation) to a few weeks (restructuring of a complex account). Pricing model adapts: hourly for advisory without fixed scope, fixed price for projects with clear scope.

  • Campaign review: you have campaigns that are not performing, we diagnose why and recommend actions
  • Conversion tracking setup: from zero to verified measurement that you can rely on after the fact
  • Attribution validation: your conversions look good but you do not know where they actually come from
  • Quality Score restructuring: your CPC is too high because account structure is fragmented
  • Performance Max strategy: you run PMax but cannot tell if it cannibalises Search or creates new value
  • Knowledge transfer: you have in-house competence but need expertise to raise it

Consultant, not half-agency.

Some agencies sell consulting engagements as a hook and then try to convert into retainer. It is more honest to treat consulting and agency as two separate offerings with different logic.

Consulting engagements have clear scope, fixed delivery and a clear end. The data-driven approach is the same: we ground recommendations in measurable data about your business, not in industry default settings or in what maximises our future billing.

When the engagement is done it is done. If you want to transition to an agency relationship we do that as a separate decision, not as an automatic consequence.

How we work.

  • Monthly billing, price ceiling set by you.

  • No lock-in, no transition project.

  • You own all accounts and content.

  • Decision support, not status.

Common questions about a Google Ads consultant

What does a Google Ads consultant do?

A Google Ads consultant works on a project or hourly basis with specific engagements: campaign review, conversion tracking setup, attribution validation, Quality Score restructuring, or knowledge transfer to your team. The difference compared to a Google Ads agency is that the consultant typically does not take ongoing responsibility for daily work but delivers a defined engagement with a clear end.

When should we choose consultant over agency?

Consultant fits when you have existing competence in-house but need point expertise: a strategic restart, a specific campaign to build, a review of an existing account, or knowledge transfer. Agency fits when you want continuous optimisation, daily monitoring and a partner who takes full responsibility for results over time. Both have their place.

How do you price consulting engagements?

Three models. Hourly for advisory without fixed scope. Fixed price for projects with defined scope. Packaged engagements, e.g. conversion tracking setup as a standard package. We recommend the model based on what the engagement actually is. Initial assessment is always free.

How long does a consulting engagement take?

Anything from a few hours (audit with recommendation) to a few weeks (restructuring of a complex account). Time estimate is provided before we start and is not adjusted after starting without your approval.

Are you Google Ads certified?

Yes. We and our network specialists hold relevant Google Ads certifications via Skillshop. But certification is the baseline, not a differentiator: all serious consultants have them. What matters is how the data is interpreted and how strategy is shaped based on your business.

Do you take over existing campaigns?

Yes, if the engagement is to revise or rebuild them. Accounts are owned by you and we get manager-link access with read and write permissions during the engagement. After the engagement the access is removed unless you want an ongoing relationship.

What happens after the consulting engagement?

You run the work going forward yourself with the documentation you received. If you want us to continue as an agency we transition to a retainer model as a separate decision. We do not push for conversion, it is your choice.

Does AI Overview affect Google Ads work?

Yes. AI Overview above search results changes the query mix and CTR distribution. Consulting engagements today often include an AIO adaptation component: what happens to your campaigns when AIO answers in the field, which query segments shift, which keywords need new creative strategy. It is part of the strategic restart we recommend for companies that have not made that adaptation.
