SERVICES / DIRECTION

Marketing advisory where you decide.

What is it about?

You already have the team or the agency. What is missing is someone who can tell you whether the proposal holds up before the money is spent. Direction gives you that judgement, every month.

Our position

We advise, you decide.

You have the proposals. What is missing is judgement.

Every agency sees the answer in its own channel. The ad agency sees ads as the answer and the web agency a new website. You are left with proposals that cannot be compared, and no one internally can tell which is right. Direction gives you senior judgement before you decide.

Direction is marketing advisory for companies that already have the team or the agency but want senior judgement in their decisions. The first of Memorise's three levels includes a monthly check-in, help with priorities and a second opinion on proposals and quotes. You make the decisions and carry them out yourselves.

INCLUDED

What you get.

The right things first.

You know what to prioritise next month, and why the rest can wait.

Quotes you understand.

You see what a proposal actually contains before you sign.

A check-in every month.

A recurring check-in where the situation, the numbers and the next decision are reviewed.

It starts with a conversation

First we understand the business.

Before you get any advice, we go through the whole business: finances, business model, organisation, digital maturity and market. Advice based on a single channel misses the rest. You can question anything we suggest, and you make the decisions.

  1. A first conversation about where you stand and where you want to go
  2. We get up to speed on the numbers and what you already have
  3. You get a set of priorities to decide on
  4. Then a check-in every month, for as long as you want

Judgement, not a hire.

The alternatives tend to be two, and both have a catch.

  • Hire a marketing director.

Takes months to recruit and costs a full-time salary. One check-in a month is often enough.

  • Ask the agency.

The agency sees its own channel. Nobody weighs it against the rest.

  • Direction.

Senior judgement every month that weighs every channel against the others, without a hire.

You keep your agency.

The team and the agency carry on, with a better basis.

Everything stays yours.

Accounts and data are in your name.

No lock-in period.

One month's notice, no contract trap.

ACCESS

People you would not otherwise reach.

Through Memorise you get access to specialists with decades of experience. They have run their own agencies or served as heads of technology at major companies. What they have in common is that they have turned their backs on the industry's drift towards lower quality.

With Direction, you get their judgement before decisions are made, not after.

Then the right specialist.
Someone who knows the channel or industry the decision concerns. You do not need to know who to ask. That is our job.

What is it about?

Where do you stand?

Three levels. Combine what you need.

The level decides how deep we go, the area what we do. Most clients combine, for example Leadership for the whole and Delivery in the channels where you lack people. The areas are the same in all three: search and AI visibility, advertising, web, content and creative.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Direction and Leadership?

In Direction you make the decisions and we advise. In Leadership we make the decisions and own marketing leadership over time, as your fractional CMO.

Can we keep our agency?

Yes. Direction assumes the work is done by your own team or an agency. You get help to prioritise and to assess what they propose.

Do you review quotes from other agencies?

Yes. Reviewing proposals and quotes is included, also when they come from another agency.

How often do we meet?

The basis is one check-in a month, where the situation and the next decision are reviewed.

Are we tied in?

No. There is no lock-in period, and the notice period is one month.

Can we combine Direction with the other levels?

Yes, the levels are often combined. We go through which combination suits you in the first conversation.

Facing a decision?

Choose what the decision is about and book a time. The topic comes with the booking, so the review starts where you are.
