What is SEO?

SEO is the work of being visible where your customers search for what you offer. In Google, in AI search, without paying per click. A long-term investment that builds value over years.

Our view

SEO is energy efficiency. Search engines and AI look for information that's easy to find. The easier you make it, the better your visibility at low cost.

What SEO is.

SEO (search engine optimization) is the work of being more visible in search engines' organic results, without paying per click. Three pillars carry the work:

  • On-page: content, headings, structure, internal linking. What appears on the page.
  • Technical SEO: load time, mobile, indexability, structured data. What Google reads in the code.
  • Off-page: links from other sites. Authority and trust from outside.

SEO differs from SEM (search engine marketing), which is paid advertising. SEO is a long-term capital investment; SEM is ongoing rent for visibility. The fundamentals are documented in Google Search Central.

How we work with SEO.

We adapt the setup per client. An e-commerce site with tens of thousands of products needs a different order than a SaaS company with a dozen landing pages. A typical sequence looks like this:

  1. 01Current-state analysis: technology, content, link profile, indexing
  2. 02Competitor review: who's ranking on your keywords and why
  3. 03Gap identification: what's missing or working poorly
  4. 04Implementation: we code, write or train your team, depending on what you want to own yourselves

Everything is documented in a monthly report. Decision support, not status. You own Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs and every other asset from day one.

Disciplines we cover.

We handle every SEO discipline, both on-page and off-page. When a job calls for deep specialist skill, we bring in the person from the network. You get the specialist, not a generalist who does "a bit of everything".

AI search and SEO.

AI Overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity and the like change how people find information. Others say SEO is dead. We think SEO has become more important. But the bar is higher.

We work actively with AI search optimization (AEO / GEO) by reverse-engineering the AI answers: which sources get cited, which topics are taken, what drives inclusion. That insight shapes how we structure your pages per Google's E-E-A-T guidelines, so an AI sees them as authoritative answers to your keywords.

It's not a separate add-on with a markup. It's part of how we do SEO in 2026.

Measurement: ranking or business outcome?

Many agencies report ranking and CTR. We do too, but that's not what you should judge us on. What matters is the business outcome: leads, pipeline, revenue. The KPIs from your perspective. This is where energy efficiency becomes measurable. Every krona spent buys more visibility when the trade-off is right.

The monthly report is decision support, not status. We walk through the trajectory, what drove results, and what's next. You should be able to read it over lunch.

All material and tool licences are owned by you: Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, content, CRM. Nothing sits with us. If you switch agencies tomorrow we take nothing.

Frequently asked questions about SEO

What is SEO?

Search engine optimization. The work of your pages being visible organically when your customers google or ask an AI, without paid advertising. Traditionally split into three areas: on-page (content and structure), technical SEO (code and performance) and off-page (links from other sites).

How do you work with SEO?

In our case: current-state analysis, competitor review, gap identification, implementation. The setup is tailored per client. Everything is documented in a monthly report and all data + tool licences are owned by you.

What does SEO cost per month?

There is no fixed range because scope varies significantly between engagements: an e-commerce site with tens of thousands of products requires different work than a site with a dozen pages. What drives the cost is the competition in the niche, the site's technical starting point, and how much content needs to be built. An initial review gives a concrete picture of what your situation would require.

How do you achieve good SEO?

Make it easy for search engines and AI to find the right answer at you. That requires technical quality, content that matches real searches, and external signals that confirm authority. Three pillars that all need to work at once. Everything else is shortcuts that cost later.

What's the difference between SEO and AEO / GEO?

AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization) describe being visible in AI answers like AI Overview, ChatGPT and Perplexity. To us this isn't a separate discipline but an evolution of SEO. We reverse-engineer the AI answers to understand what drives inclusion, and steer your pages toward it.

How quickly do you see SEO results?

SEO is long-term. Technical fixes can show effect in weeks. Content and link building typically work on a 3 to 9 month horizon. We report monthly so you see the trajectory continuously and can adjust strategy when the data says something new.
