What a CMO engagement looks like.
Every engagement follows the same sequence, but depth varies with your current state. Diagnosis typically takes 2-4 weeks. Strategy and marketing plan are calibrated together with your leadership group and reviewed in quarterly workshops. Operational coordination happens weekly with your specialists, sync meetings, prioritisation decisions, blocker resolution. We report monthly to your CEO or leadership with decision support in Swedish or English. At larger initiatives (rebranding, new site, expansion to a new market) the time allocation increases. At stable periods we scale down. The price ceiling always holds, you never pay more than the ceiling, less time means less invoicing.

Frequently asked questions about fractional CMO
How does fractional CMO differ from interim CMO?
Fractional is an ongoing function, we step into your CMO role on a rolling basis, monthly. Interim is temporary: we fill a gap during a specific period (typically 3-12 months) until you have a permanent CMO in place.
What's included in the CMO role you take?
Strategy, prioritisation, budget allocation, measurement architecture, coordination of your specialists and vendors, monthly reporting to leadership. We don't step in as operational writer or advertising specialist, that role sits with your existing agencies or specialists from the network.
What does it cost?
Price ceiling matching what you'd pay for an in-house CMO in salary plus social fees. At lower time-need it scales down, you pay for actual time, never above the ceiling. A 6-8 week pilot is possible for trust-building before ongoing engagement.
Do we have to switch agencies?
No. We coordinate your existing agencies and consultants against the same marketing plan. If a vendor underperforms we'll say so, the decision to switch sits with you. We take no commission on vendor selection.
How quickly do we see results?
Strategic decisions and the first prioritisations are in place after 4-6 weeks. Operational effects depend on which channels you work with and current baseline. Business effect is reported from quarter two onward.
What happens if we want to end?
One month's notice. Documentation, marketing plan, KPI structure and all decision material follow with you. No agency trap, no transition costs. Your specialists and suppliers continue directly under your new CMO or other leadership. You own the relationships, the data and the processes from day one.
Do you take engagements outside Sweden?
Yes, we have international engagements. The CMO role communicates in Swedish or English depending on your leadership. The specialist network is distributed across Sweden and internationally, which means we can coordinate delivery across several markets at the same time. Digital meetings are the default regardless of geography.
How deep is the integration in our organisation?
Two modes, client picks: CMO mode (we sit in the leadership group, report to the CEO, decide in the marketing function) or Controller mode (we report to your CMO or equivalent, coordinate execution). Both modes are price-ceiled the same way.
