ABOUT / TEAM
Simon Torngren.
Partner and COO
Simon Torngren is a partner and COO at Memorise, responsible for project management, delivery quality and web development. He owns the technical web at the agency, from rendering and performance to tracking and accessibility, and builds the structure, the processes and the products that let the business grow without losing what already works.

My view
I build the structure so my colleagues can own the delivery.
Background.
The role today
As a partner and COO, Simon builds the structure that lets Memorise grow without losing what already works. He develops processes, creates new products and refines the ways of working, so that the know-how sits in the structure and not just with whoever happens to run the assignment. He is rarely in the client room, but keeps track of the clients anyway.
The web
Simon owns web development at Memorise. He is behind the agency's technical web and the products delivered on it, and writes the knowledge base on web development: how rendering choices, performance, tracking and accessibility decide whether a site is found, loads and converts. It is the practical expertise behind what the agency promises its clients.
How I work.
I build the structure.
I would rather solve a problem once, properly, than over and over again. When something works it should be repeatable, so that we can take on more without losing the overview.
I build for what is next.
A large part of the job is creating new things: new processes, new products, better ways of working. I look just as much at what we need in a year as at what is being done today.
I know the client without being seen.
I keep track of the clients even when I am not in the room. That means what I build starts from what they actually need, not from what looks good on paper.
Right now.
Most of my time goes to developing new processes, creating new products and refining what we already do. I build the structure that lets the business grow without losing what already works. I am rarely directly inside the projects, and the client does not necessarily know me, but I know the client.
A lot of it is about giving my colleagues even better conditions: new tools and products, clearer setups from the start, processes that make the know-how live in the structure and not just in the head of whoever happens to run the assignment.
